I stayed one night at the Walrus Hostel. Staff was casual, not overly friendly or rude which is just fine. Their downstairs, bar area is decorated really nice and has a fun atmosphere at night. It's well located. The hostel rooming area has several stairs so be prepared if you have heavy luggage. They provide a kitchen which is nice and free breakfast. The room's are general and bathrooms are limited so you may need to try other floors. Overall I had a good stay. Thanks Walrus!

We loved our stay at the Walrus. The bar downstairs had such a laid-back and welcoming environment, and the room was clean. This hostel is no-frills, but the location and the staff and the atmosphere make it totally worth it.

Great bar on the main level that’s a perfect chill atmosphere. The bunks were comfortable and the place was clean. Close to the tube for easy access to transportation.

I am a young woman traveling with my boyfriend. This hostel was clean and friendly. location was great since we stayed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and there was no transport. We were able to walk everywhere easily. The hostel hosted a movie night on Christmas day. The check-in was great and the host explained everything thoroughly. There was a space heater in the room that kept it very warm. only one outlet strip on the floor which is inconvenient if you're on the top bunk. safe

The people here are super cool, yeah the flight of stairs suck and people can too (other hostel guests) but the place is amazing specially for your money. The toilets are U.K. ones so not the best flush but the location and vive and plus a free breakfast. Can’t beat it 9.7/10 would stay again.

The beds were comfortable and it was close to the tube, bus, and even boat transportation. The London Eye, Westminster Abbey, and Buckingham Palace were all very close. The train passed nearby, so the building rattled a bit, but it was not disturbing to sleep, you got used to it pretty quickly. The office staff was helpful. The breakfast was simple, but enough to get the day started.

We had a great stay in the Walrus Hostel. For a 20 bed dorm we were surprised by how quiet it was. All of the lights were dimmed so that even if someone did enter the room late they were not able to blast the light on as some people do in other hostels. The washrooms and showers were clean. The best part of the hostel was definitely the pub downstairs though! We stayed over the holidays and pulled up a seat next to the Christmas tree and enjoyed some cheap pints - great atmosphere!.

I was unimpressed mostly by the facilities. There is no temperature control in the room, and we were hot all night. If you open the window for air, the roar of the trains would wake you up every 10 min. The shower, restroom, and kitchen areas weren't particularly the cleanest, but I did enjoy the free breakfast and bar area.

Fantastic location at a good price. Nice breakfast, most staff were friendly. Dirty kitchen. We had a 4 x bed room for 3 nights. My bunk broke. A staff member walked into our room while we were getting dressed without knocking. It looked like she was checking out the room in search of valuables. We didn't feel safe here. The room was very dark & even with the light on it was hard to see & find things in our luggage.
