Had an absolutely fantastic stay at the hostel, would highly recommend it to anyone. I was very happy with one staff member, Merlin, who was very helpful in giving us some recommendations for what to do in Lisbon.

Urban Garden Hostel was an incredible stay for my first time in Lisbon. The staff there were extremely friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was second to none as I felt welcome from the moment I got there. Overall I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a great, friendly culture and feeling of home on a different city.

It was a great hostel with wonderful staff. But the powdered milk that comes with breakfast is terrible.

The staff were very nice and the kitchen was one of the better stocked that I’ve stayed at too. The bathrooms were small but they were fine. They hold events every night EXCEPT mondays (there is still the pub crawl though), and I wish I had known this before. The free breakfast was simple but free.

Great having the free breakfast with coffee! The staff are really nice and helpful. I stayed in the other building, which is just down the street and not far at all, so I don't know why other people in the reviews are fussing about it. It's a short walk into the city centre. There aren't quite enough bathroom stalls for the number of people, so expect to wait a few minutes to shower, and because of the number of people using the limited bathrooms, they're not very clean by the end of the day.

Had no issues staying here! Everyone was so helpful and accommodating! I always felt safe and honestly didn’t even feel the need to lock my things in one of the lockers they provide! Keep in mind you need to provide your own lock if you did want to use them :) They also had events going on every night and deals with local companies that are perfect whether you are with people, or travelling alone!

    Very Good

    14 Jul 2019
The main building, common area and kitchen is great. There is not much common space to hang out in the 'other building' - which we were based in sadly (tiny kitchen vs. excellent facilities in main building - a walk down the road. Main issue that staff need to fix is the bunk bed in Love Park 3 - there is no safety rail up there so it was really hard and dangerous to get up and down - this needs to be fixed. Main bonus: I was impressed how lively the bar crawl was even on a Monday.

The hostel is ok for 1 or 2 nights but not for longer stays. The room was toooooo small for 6 beds. Odors and no ventilation due to a small window half opened and blocked with one of the beds. They brought a fan upon request but couldn’t plug it because there no power oulets beside the ones assigned to beds.
