Overview

Our colourful and quirky Vagabonds Hostel is inside a beautifully renovated listed building in one of Belfast's liveliest areas. Our beer garden's the place to be during the summer months, with regular barbecues to make the most of the long Northern Irish evenings. Whip up a feast in our well-equipped kitchen and enjoy it in the dining room (where you can get cosy by the traditional wood burning stove) or outside in our picnic area, just out front. As travellers ourselves, we know what's important – yep, free food! Get stuck into our free breakfast every morning.

Location

We're less than 15 minutes' walk from Europa Bus Centre, where you can grab express buses to both the city's airports. Speaking of which, we're half an hour away from Belfast City Airport by bus, and one hour from Belfast International. It only takes a few minutes to walk into the city centre from our hostel, which is in the middle of the bustling Queens Quarter. We're also 20 minutes by bus from the Titanic Exhibition Centre.

Rooms and Dorms

Get friendly with your fellow travellers in one of our mixed or female-only dorms, or treat yourself to some quiet time by booking one of our private twin or double rooms. Most rooms have a shared bathroom. We've got under-bed storage so you can keep your things safe while you explore, and we provide the linen so there's no need to bring along your favourite bedsheets!

Extras and activities

There's always a friendly crowd in our huge living room. Our book exchange is packed with interesting reads left by fellow travellers (why not brush up on your French!), and we've also got a great DVD collection for when you want to veg out with a movie. Always looking for something to do? Find someone to join you at our pool table or ask at the tours desk to get booked onto a trip.

Probably my favourite hostel to ever stay in, staff and other guests were lovely and friendly, really made me feel at home. Location isn’t far from the city centre so there’s easy access to shops and restaurants. Honestly would’ve stayed there longer if I was able to and I’ll definitely be going back at some point.

Great location within walking distance of the city centre, attractions and travel links as well as good options for bars, shops, restaurants etc. Hostel itself is clean and has good chill out and lounge areas as well as a kitchen and dining area. The hostel was pretty quiet when I went for a solo trip but the staff were very helpful with tips on places to go and things to do and also very welcoming... they even made me dinner one night. Would highly recommend for anybody going to Belfast.
