At We Love F. Tourists you'll get views of the 10th-century São Jorge Castle from your bedroom window – not bad to wake up to! Our 250-year-old building has two common areas for mingling or watching a movie with friends. Or you can try some Portuguese beer at our on-site bar. We put on daily activities like a home-cooked meal with wine, followed by a pub crawl round our favourite drinking spots. Ask about our day trips to places like Sintra – a fairytale region of castles and forest. Before you head off, we'll set you up with a free breakfast.

To reach us from Lisbon Portela Airport station takes 50 to 60 minutes. Take the red line from the airport station towards São Sebastião and switch to the green line at Alameda. Head towards Cais do Sodré and get off at Rossio. From the Praça da Figueira exit, we're a 2-minute walk. You'll find us in the Baixa neighbourhood which is Lisbon's most central. It's full of grand squares, boutiques and food markets. We have the world's oldest book store, Bertrand Chiado, a 7-minute walk away. The Museu Do Design E Da Moda (Museum of Design and Fashion) is also 7 minutes away on foot.

Rooms and Dorms

We have private rooms and mixed dorms to suit sociable solo travellers and globetrotting groups. Free linen helps save you cash and you can hire a towel if you haven't packed one. Stash your bags in our security lockers before heading out for a pastel de nata (Portuguese custard tart – they're delicious!).

Extras and activities

Head to reception and chat with our friendly staff to find out what activities we've arranged that night. We'll give you a free city map if you want to explore Baixa by yourself. You can use our free Wi-Fi to check museum opening times. When you get back, borrow an iPad to write your travel blog and pop an album on our record-player for a chilled, bohemian vibe.

The most amazing hostel I've stayed. Everything was awesome; the service, the location, the staff, the beds. They really create a great atmosphere in there and provide useful tips and hacks to get the most out of Lisboa. I loved the city and I would certainly recommend anyone to go to We Love F****** Tourists if they visit it.

This was definitely a wholesome experience, not your regular hostel for sure. The staff at the hostel was so friendly and kind that at a point I felt really spoiled. Shout out to staff members I have more contact during my stay, they were absolute stars and I’m definitely staying there again whenever I’m in Lisbon. Thank you guys, I f***ing loved y’all.

The best hostel service I've ever had in all my years travelling. I had gotten a knee injury a few days before my trip but decided to still travel but on a crutch. They upgraded me to a room closer to the ground floor for no extra charge. Before I left, the day later I was given an extensive map and recommendations and was told I am welcome back if my trip would go wrong for any reason. I definitely recommend this hostel, thanks guys :) Philip x

The value of this hostel was outstanding. One of the cheapest options in Lisbon and you aren’t compromising cleanliness or quality in any way. I’ve stayed in manyyy hostels over the years, and I’ve never experienced such friendly and kind staff. Every single staff member made you feel welcome and looked after. HIGHLY recommend.

By far, the best hostel I have ever lived in terms of friendliness and basic chilling out. The staff were super helpful with their suggestions and were extremely knowledgeable. They were ready to help us with all our requests. Also, a big thanks to Annabel for that much needed glass of wine at the right moment. People visiting Lisbon, do check out this hostel. I am sure you won't be disappointed. Also, the pub crawls and the dinners at the hostel are just awesome. Keep up the good work.
