About

Valladolid is a small and calm Mayan and colonial city of 70.000 inhabitants. It is located in the north centre of the Yucatan Peninsula, only 30 minutes away from the monumental Mayan ruins of Chichn Itz.. It is a good base to rest after visiting the Mayan zone and its authentic cultural expressions. Valladolid and the region around it have some of the deepest and most spectacular natural wells (cenotes) of the Yucatan Peninsula.

An old, large colonial house, is located in Parque La Candelaria, 3 blocks from the bus-station and 2.5 blocks from the Central Park.

In a safe and familiar atmosphere, it is the home that you need to enjoy your vacations calmly. The staff are the owners. The inner patio, with its natural garden and exotic trees, offers a great space for you to cook, eat and have a siesta in the hammocks, next to the birds song.

We provide dormitories and private rooms, a completely equipped kitchen, cable- television, board games, bicycles for rent, uo-to-date tourist information and of course the colonial Parque La Candelaria just in front of the hostel.

A really nice stay! The staff are absolutely wonderful, super helpful. Fernando was a wonderful manager. The hostel breakfast was genuinely the best I’ve ever had - several days in a row were delicious. Ended up doubling my stay because I enjoyed Valladolid so much. The beds are comfy. I’m only knocking points down for the bad water pressure in the showers, and the fact the second dorm I stayed in had no lock on the door. Other than that, I’d totally stay again.

I loved my stay here! The location is great and the staff were super helpful. My bed was comfortable and there was enough privacy. The bathrooms were always clean and well stocked, too. Breakfast was tasty and filling, and the garden is beautiful to relax and socialise in. Would definitely stay here again! Oh, and you must try the taco place across the square — it’s delicious :)

lovely stay here, would 100% go back! there were curtains on bottom bunk for privacy which was nice. the hostel itself is stunning and the garden is lovely, with hammocks at the back which was super relaxing. even the outside toilets and showers were nice! the location was great, near some great food places and close to the ado station. best part was the breakfast included. theres a lady that cooks in an open kitchen in the garden and they were great! not super social but that depends on u!!
