About
Welcome to Alamo Hostel & Suites!
A historic home, a relaxed atmosphere, and a great base for discovering Mendoza — welcoming travelers from around the world since 2005.
14 rooms, 7 with en-suite bathrooms — the social spirit of a hostel with the comfort and privacy of a private room.
Located in the heart of downtown Mendoza, Alamo Hostel & Suites is a family-run hostel set in a beautiful former residence. For over 20 years, we've welcomed travelers from all over the world and helped them discover the best of Mendoza.
The house was designed by renowned Mendoza architect Daniel Ramos Correa, who also contributed to some of the city's most important landmarks, including Plaza Independencia and the Frank Romero Day Amphitheatre, home of Mendoza's famous National Grape Harvest Festival (Vendimia).
We've transformed this spacious family home into a welcoming hostel while preserving the charm and character of its original architecture. Our enclosed garden, terraces, fireplaces, high ceilings and large windows create a warm, peaceful atmosphere where it's easy to slow down and feel at home.

❤️ A personal touch
Alamo is owner-operated, and our multilingual team is here to make your stay comfortable, easy and enjoyable.
We believe the little things matter: a clean and welcoming place, honest local advice, help planning your days, and someone around who is happy to point you in the right direction.
After more than 20 years, we've learned that the best part of running a hostel is the people who come through our doors.
🍷 Discover Mendoza with us
Mendoza is famous for its Malbec and wineries, but there's much more to discover.
We can help you arrange excursions and recommend the best ways to experience the region — from bodega tours and wine tasting to exploring the Andes, trekking, skiing and discovering the city itself.
And when you come back, there's no need to rush. Relax in the garden, enjoy one of our terraces, prepare a meal in the kitchen, read a book or simply share a drink and stories with fellow travelers.
Whether you're here for wine, mountains, adventure or simply a few days of Argentine sunshine, we'd love to make Alamo your home away from home in Mendoza.
🏊 Seasonal pool
Our pool is generally available from mid-October to the end of March, weather permitting and subject to suitable temperatures. Pool access may not be available during your stay if weather conditions are unsuitable.
