We are located directly at the main train station, 150m away from the famous Cologne Cathedral (Kölner Dom) and just a few steps from Germany's busiest shopping street, as well hundreds of bars, clubs and restaurants. Cologne's trade fair (Messe) is just one train stop away or a 15 minutes walk.

We offer clean and comfortable beds (no bunks!) with bed linen included, showers, FREE internet with wireless fidelity and laundry facilities. In our bar, beergarden and restaurant we offer breakfast and a varied evening menu (5 nights per week). Many major sporting events can be followed on the large TV screens and reoccuring Live Music programmes makes the Station Hostel & Bar the ideal place to spend your evening.

With our late check out at 11am there's no need to rush in the morning and our free luggage storage can be used until 11pm on the day of departure to give you more time to explore the city. Our reception is open daily from 8am to midnight. If you arrive past office hours with a valid reservation, a late self check in is possible.

Free city maps with sightseeing tips and local travel information, guide books and hostel flyers are available. Our friendly local staff are happy to help you with information about nightlife, restaurants, exhibitions and anything else you need to make your stay in Cologne an interesting and comfortable one.

In Cologne you will be charged a 5 % city tax in addition to the Hostelworld-rates! To secure your booking your credit card will be charged for the first night's accommodation 24h prior to arrival.

If I could give 0 stars for cleanliness then I would. There were 2 single bathrooms on the entire floor for probably 40+ people, one did not lock and had no tp, the other had used cigarettes on the floor... multiple! Also, don't be fooled by the location, it's literally at the train station, so all the screeching noises from the trains were unavoidable. If you wear ear plugs, you might be fine, I didn't, and I wasn't.
