The staff at this hostel is very kind. The rooms themselves are also very clean. I also appreciated its about a 20 min walk to the main square so it’s a little quieter. Now we did struggle in our private bathroom because we had no hot water. We opted to shower in the dorm showers every night because that’s the only place we could get hot water. Also, we stored leftovers in the fridge and came back the next to it covered in ants.

A great peaceful hostel - perfect if you want a more authentic experience away from the centre of Cusco (which can get a bit overwhelming!) staff are lovely and breakfast is great. Kitchen is too small to do much cooking in apart from pasta. Beds are super comfy!

Hostelworld says

The Recoleta has had so many rave reviews that we're not sure what more we can say. According to one past guest, "this is a gem of a hostel", with "good beds" and "amazing staff". With just 36 beds you're guaranteed a small and friendly atmosphere, perfect for solo travellers looking for new friends or a potential hiking buddy up to Machu Picchu. Just a short walk from Cuzco's main square, it's pretty easy to find nearby tour operators and guides to take you along the famous Inca Trail, and with such friendly staff you can expect a warm reception on your return.
