WHY ARE WE LOCATED IN FERREL AND NOT IN PENICHE?
Ferrel is where you want to be, the Vibe is Here!! Full of backpackers, surfers and solo travellers, very aliving and vibrating area and full of local shops, restaurants, local markets and hidden precious beaches while you get emerged into a very local experience of slow & easy going life plus night life. Ferrel is where the party starts and Baleal is where it ends.
Peniche is the old town although the surrounding nature is stunning, it is a very fishing village mostly for couples or families, but for sure you can not miss a cycling tour all over this beautiful landscape. Ferrel it's the closest village from Baleal. Baleal is the best surf spot in Europe if you're a beginner/intermediate, very consistent with two swell directions and two wind directions.

33HOSTEL:
33 Hostel is an independent and locally run, and as such you will get the personal touch not found in big chain hostels, with a unique family atmosphere that will make you feel right at home. Perfectly located in the center of Ferrel, near the beautiful beaches of Almagreira, Pico da Mota and Baleal, it's an ideal place to surf or just chill and enjoy the sun. We organize homemade family dinners, pub crawls and group trips to nearby towns and attractions, and are always available to provide assistance and advice to our guests.
Ferrel is a lovely village, full of locals who welcome all the foreigners that pass through with open arms. The nearby city of Peniche is famous for its fantastic beaches, and most of all for being Portugal's 'Wave Capital'. Surfers will appreciate that all the best beaches are just a few minutes away, with world-class conditions all year round.
The Berlengas Islands and Cabo Carvoeiro are the main historical sites to visit. Also close by are Serra d'El-Rei, with luxury villas, and Óbidos, a beautiful town with a medieval castle. Our hostel is right in the center of Ferrel, just a short walk from the Local Market, mini-markets, cafes, restaurants, bakeries, pharmacy, ATM, bank, post office, medical offices, hairdressers, bars and surf shops. It's also very close to the local church, one of the village's main points of reference, where lots of parties take place all year (especially in spring and summer).
We organize Daily Hostel Activities, like puz quizz, pub crawls and group trips to nearby towns and attractions, and are always available to provide assistance and advice to our guests.
