Welcome to Hostel Chapada Backpackers!

Our guest house is located in Lençóis, a small, bucolic town nestled in the heavenly valleys of the Chapada Diamantina mountains, in the state of Bahia, in the Northeast of Brazil. We are two French owners, Eric and Thomas, together to offer you the best of Chapada Diamantina — whether you're staying at our hostel or joining one of the hikes and excursions we organize through our adventure tourism agency, Agência Chapada Backpackers.

Here are the services we offer:

- Adventure tourism agency specializing in multi-day treks and car tours all over Chapada Diamantina

- Beds in fully equipped dormitories
- Private suites for couples
- Family room for 4 to 6 people
- Private dorms for groups

- Breakfast available daily (book separately upon arrival at the guest house)
- 2 Collective kitchens open from 7 am till 10 pm

- Reception open 7 am – 9:30 pm

A nice hostel with great tours available, however the staff could be quicker and more friendly with messaging. The noise was a problem; quiet hours are not enforced and many people need to wake up early for excursions. Great breakfast.

It’s social and they have a tour agency so it’s easy to book tours about them. The location is central and quiet. The beds are comfortable.

Came in July so it was a bit rainy but still good vibes. Lots of backpackers coming to explore Chapada. The staff is really helpful with booking tours so it was really easy to show up and decide what you wanted to do once you got there. The hostel is a short walk from the town center which is nice and you have a small convenience store next door. Bedrooms and bathrooms are clean, showers aren’t always so hot but not too bad. Breakfast is decent and available for a fee.
