We are at 50 m from one of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica. Our place is located into a natural setting plain of beautiful vegetation, birds, squirrel, monkeys and iguanas. The beach is clean, calm and safe and the sunsets are wonderful.

From our hostel you can visit several beautiful other beaches, volcano area and a waterfall in a natural setting, or you can enjoy a boat tour, snorkelling, diving, horse raids, or a night dancing.

We offer a hostel with 4 rooms and a camping with a lot of space. In the hostel we have private and shared rooms and a spacious cabin, all with air conditioned and private bathroom and free Internet and free access to the kitchen. In the camping we offer free access to showers and toilets, electricity, BBQ and long tables.

We arrived late as my flight was delayed coming in. The Google maps directed us to the wrong gate, so I called the owner when it was locked and he came right over and directed us! The next day we decided to have some beers in the beach and couldn't find a bottle opener and so the owner lent us her own personal one and a cooler! If you want to spend time at the beach this is a perfect location! it was a 2 minute walk from the water and several beach front bars and restaurants.

Hostel Horror: Moldy Room, Falling Shelves, and Payment Drama The room was riddled with issues, from the persistent moldy smell to stained blankets, and safety concerns such as a wall collapsing when leaned on, falling shelves, a missing bunk bed ladder. Payment communication was a chaotic mess, with promises of assistance never fulfilled. Poor communication led to a series of stressful messages demanding payment and even threatening me by calling the police. Don’t stay here!

We thoroughly enjoyed our four days at Congos 😊. Ana and Marco were very accommodating and welcoming. Alba, the property manager, was absolutely stellar in all her duties. Up before dawn, she raked and watered the gardens to keep the dust down. She made sure the common areas and bathrooms were always spotless for the guests. The proximity to beach, restaurants and little market was perfect, and the neighborhood quiet for a good night’s sleep. Pepe, the dog, liked to show us around town.
