Summary of traveller reviews

PaCasa Hostel in David City is a unique stay, especially for animal lovers, with many cats and dogs. The owner is friendly and helpful, and the location is convenient for the bus station. However, some guests note a strong pet odour and occasional cleanliness issues. The surrounding area can feel unsafe, and access can be restricted.

It’s okay to stay for one night and just leave right again in the morning. It’s close to the bus stop. The place is filled with trash and broken furniture, the lady was nice in one moment then a bit rude the next. The room and beds were okay - very basic. I didn’t feel safe walking around there in the evening. there are about 20 cats living in the house which I loved but might be a bit much for others.

Josie works hard to keep the hostel safe and clean. She knows the area very well and has learned a lot about Panamanian culture which helped me out a lot. I enjoyed my week long stay in the private room with AC. Most of the cats are very sweet, I even had one sleep in my room with me one night which was a lovely treat. She said it was ok. Must love cats! The smell wasn’t always pleasant because her dog has cancer in his mouth, but I had everything I needed. Overall it was a positive experience.
