Mamallena Beachside

Mamallena Beachside is more like an airbnb than a hostel, we only have privates and we think we are a step up, with rooms with the best seaviews in Rincon. You cant get any closer to the beach, step out the front door and you're on the sand, walk 20 metres and you're in the sea.. We were the first hostel in town more than 10 years ago, 2 years ago we renovated and upgraded to the version we are now. Rincon has changed with us and its been really interesting to see how tourism has helped the town and its people..

Rincon del Mar is still a small fishing village in the department of Sucre, Colombia around 13km from ‘San Onofre’ 2.5 hours south of Cartagena along the Caribbean coast. This is a great location to stop at if you are heading from Cartagena to Medellin and absolutely perfect for a few days rest and relaxation before hitting the big cities again.

5 of our rooms have AC and the remaining 2 are open to the breeze with more than enough large fans. 4 rooms have sea views and room 7 is huge and has the best view and largest balcony in Rincon. All our rooms have more than one bed and a private bathroom. Our front door opens right onto the beach and the sea is 20 metres away/

We don't serve food but we do have a guest kitchen you can use, and some of the best restaurants in Rincon are a 1 minute walk from us, and they will deliver right to the door.. Tours to the San Bernardo islands are also easily arranged and that a beautiful spot to spend a few hours. For those of you who are a bit more adventurous we can also around horse riding through the local farmlands and along the beach, you can also take a tour through the mangroves and we promise that you will see sloths. Taking a walk through Rincon del Mar is an adventure in itself, just exploring the town and meeting the friendly locals.
