We are a family-run hostel. In the property there are three bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, an automatic washing machine, very comfortable sofas and a beautiful TV-lounge area. For a small extra fee you can buy breakfast and/or lunch.

Backpackers and Travellers is located in a very quiet area of the city, close to Neiva's airport and to the city exit to get to Tatacoa's desert.
In the surroundings you will find several markets and a restaurant area with very varied and interesting offers.
We are also providers of the 'Tatacoa's desert Tour', a great experience where you can see the desert as no one else can show it to you, and you can also meet local people and taste local products. Our goal is to provide you with a nice, quiet place to chill and relax, you can make your home base while you visit the desert and other wonderful sites that this region has to offer.

We offer comfortable private and mixed rooms with individual beds, shared bathroom and A/C or fans in every room.

The staff were friendly and super helpful, specifically Romina who went out of her way to help me when I forgot some items at the hostel. My only feedback regarding the tour is that it’s very long and could be made shorter by cutting the morning activity!

Insane value for money, great price and tour to Tatacoa operated by the hostel is great. We also had AC in our room which we didn’t expect but was greatly appreciated, and breakfast is really affordable in the morning. Only negatives were cold shower and not many food options nearby but you can just order takeaway. Also vibe is very functional - most people are there for a day or two only doing a tour (as was the case with us!). Would 100% book again

Overall fairly basic hostel but does the job if you just want to visit the Tatacoa desert. Was easy to organise with them and at a good price. Room was nice and clean but only cold water in the showers. Location is a bit dodgy, wouldn’t go out at night but think that is fairly universal around Neiva.
