Mellow Mountain Hostel

Mellow Mountain Hostel is a spacious 54 bed hostel in the middle of South Lake Tahoe. Our property features two indoor communal areas as well as two outdoor recreation areas. Indoors you will find a computer room with free 24-hour computer access and resources, as well as a large communal room including a full kitchen, games, and entertainment center. Our lobby offers the comfort of plenty of snacks, amenities, and beverages for sale. Our amazing staff are here to welcome new guests to our home!

We are located in South Lake Tahoe, California, just down the road from Stateline, Nevada. We are within a 10 minute walk from all the best attractions in Lake Tahoe! In the summer you can walk to the beach, boating and other water activities, and hiking trails at Van Sickle Bi-State Park. If the winter snow is more your thing, the entrance to the Heavenly Gondola is less than 5 minutes away by foot. All year round guests can easily access grocery stores, restaurants, bars, casinos, nightclubs, and more!

Mellow Mountain Hostel offers one of the best hostel experiences you will find! Our 12 dorm rooms (either 4 or 8 beds per room) all include hand-built wooden bunk beds, a locker for each guest, seating area, ensuite bathroom, and ski storage. Our private rooms have one queen size bed, ensuite bathroom, seating area, and ski storage. All rooms include linens, towels, blankets, reading lights, and fans.

Cancellation policy: 48 hours before arrival.

Check in from 16:00 to 21:00 .
Check out before 12:00 .

Payment upon arrival by cash, credit cards, debit cards.


Taxes not included - 12.00% plus occupancy tax $1.00 USD per person per night.
Breakfast not included.
