Salty Jackal was built in the 1960s, renovated in 2009, and blends together old-world style and quality with modern, comfortable and simple living. Decorated to inspire surfing and quality food while also showcasing our breathtakingly beautiful Namibia.

In 2021, Salty Jackal Backpackers and Surf Camp became a signatory of the Global Tourism Plastics Initiative (GTPI), led by the UN Environmental Programme (UNEP) and the World Tourism Organization (WTO), in collaboration with the Ellen MacArthur Foundation. Salty Jackal Surf Camp Policies & Conditions:

Check in from 13:00 to 20:00 (late check in fee N$200, cash only)
Check out from 07:00 to 10:00 (early check out fee N$200, cash only)

Cancellation Policy:
100% deposit of the booking amount required to secure a booking.
Free cancellation if cancelled outside of 14 days before check-in.
Cancellation fee (50% of full booking amount) if cancelled within 13 to 7 days before check-in.
Cancellation fee (75% of full booking amount) if cancelled within 6 to 2 days before check-in.
1 day before check-in, no-show or shortened stay,100% of booking amount.

Payment methods & taxes:
Credit card and cash. This property might pre-authorize your credit card.
All taxes included.
We charge a N$ 400 key deposit per key set payable in cash only and refunded in cash upon checkout.

General:
No curfew.
Reception times 08:00 to 20:00.
The maximum period of stay is of 30 days.
