Aguas calientes is very much a pit stop and not somewhere I’d want to spend longer than a night in. However, this hostel does the job. Its in a good location for transit to maccu piccu. The staff don’t speak English but are helpful and will help you book onwards travel from hydroelectrica etc. beds are comfy and the place feels clean. Not super social as most people are just here for maccu piccu.
