About
Welcome to Barn Door Hostel. It’s a relaxed, friendly place to land after long days outside, built around good people, shared experiences, and a love for the outdoors.
We’re located in New Hampshire’s adventure country, close to some of the area’s best climbing, hiking, skiing, and exploring. Rumney Rocks is nearby and draws climbers from all over, but you don’t have to be here for one specific activity to feel at home. Many guests come simply to spend time outside and enjoy the rhythm of mountain days.
Barn Door offers a mix of lodging options depending on how you like to travel. There are shared bunk rooms that make it easy to meet people, private rooms for those who want more quiet or are traveling with a partner, and camping on the property during warmer months if sleeping under the stars is more your style. However you stay, the goal is comfort without fuss.
The hostel is set up to feel easy and welcoming, with a well-equipped communal kitchen, cozy common spaces, and plenty of room to spread out, relax, and take care of your gear. After a day outside, guests often find themselves cooking together, swapping stories, or sitting by the fire making loose plans for the next day. Nothing is forced and there’s no pressure to be social, but connection tends to happen naturally.
A lot of people arrive here traveling solo or staying in a hostel for the first time, and we hear again and again that Barn Door feels like a good place to start. We care deeply about creating a space that’s inclusive, respectful, and comfortable for everyone. That care shows up in the community and in the consistent five-star reviews guests have left across multiple platforms.
Come stay for a night or a few. Bring your boots, your climbing shoes, or just yourself. Barn Door Hostel is ready to welcome you.
