Welcome to Casa KITARA – A simple, conscious, and welcoming refuge in Tarapoto

Casa KITARA is a small hostel with a traveler’s soul, specially designed for those seeking rest, connection, and authenticity. Personally managed by its hosts, we offer a warm, affordable, and peaceful experience where every gesture matters, and every guest becomes part of a conscious community.

Located in a traditional regional house, just 800 meters (a 10-minute walk) from Tarapoto’s Main Square and 2 km from the airport, we are surrounded by markets, restaurants, pharmacies, shopping centers, and an interprovincial bus stop (300 meters away) with routes to Lamas, Alto Mayo, Yurimaguas, Juanjuí, and more.

🍽️ Conscious use guidelines
Out of respect for other travelers and the community spirit of Casa KITARA:
• Wash the utensils, plates, and glasses you use
• Keep shared spaces clean and tidy
• If something breaks, please let us know — you can replace it yourself or cover a fair cost
• Coffee and sugar are for use at the coffee bar only
• Please don’t use filtered water to fill large bottles or take it outside
• Turn off the fan when you leave your room
• Coordinate use of the washing machine in advance

📶 Additional services:
• Free WiFi: we have two networks (KITARA HOUSE BACKPACKERS and KITARA HOUSE BACKPACKERS_plus), both with the same password. You can connect to either for better coverage. If you have trouble connecting, we’re available on WhatsApp to help.
• Television: just turn it on, select “TV” on the remote, and enjoy.

📜 Policies and conditions:
• Free cancellation within 48 hours after booking
• In case of late cancellation or no-show, the full amount will be charged
• It is essential to provide your WhatsApp number for easier communication
• If you plan to check in after 3:00 p.m., please inform us via WhatsApp to coordinate your arrival
• Check-in: from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
• Check-out: before 12:00 p.m.

💳 Payment methods:
• Payment upon arrival in cash, by credit, or debit card
• Credit card payments have a 5% administrative fee
• PayPal payments have a 12% operational fee
• The hostel may pre-authorize your card before arrival
