Join us at De Bos Backpackers and Camping, situated in the heart of beautiful Montagu, just 190 km from Cape Town. We are set in an exquisite central location, a short walk away from shops and restaurants, with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, famous for rock climbing. We also have a refreshing swimming pool.

We offer a variety of backpackers accommodation from private rooms with en-suite bathrooms to dormitory-style rooms with bunk beds and shared communal bathrooms – all with hot and cold showers. There is free WiFi for all guests and power points throughout. The barn is a large communal kitchen with a beautiful spacious seating area. There is also a large barbecue area.

De Bos will give you a friendly and relaxed travel experience. People of all ages come together to eat, have a drink and socialise. We are pet-friendly, and Our pecan nut farm has free-roaming peacocks, guinea fowl, horses, ponies and donkeys. There is also an abundance of bird life.

Reception is open from 8 am to 7 pm.

Cancellation policy: 7 days before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or 'no show', you will be charged the first night of your stay.

Check in from 14:00 to 19:00.
Check out before 11:00.
