Located within the former village primary school and school house in an impressive Victorian built granite building, Dalwhinnie Old School Hostel is the new highest hostel in the Scottish Highlands. Situated directly opposite the train station and only a short walk from the famous Dalwhinnie Scotch Distillery. It 's surrounded by Munros (Scottish mountains) to climb and only a 5 minute walk from Loch Ericht, the tenth largest loch in Scotland. Conveniently located just off the A9 between Pitlochry and Aviemore, it's an ideal stop off on the way to the NC500 or the Isle of Skye. Also a perfect base for Munro bagging, canoeing, or mountain biking at Laggan Wolftrax.
The hostel sleeps 26 people between a double room, a twin / double room, two 6 bed dorms, and a 10 bed dorm. It has a 2 common areas, one featuring a 65 inch TV with Sky TV and a Blu Ray player, and a large log burner for those colder days. Well equipped kitchen with everything you need to make that gourmet meal.

The receptions works from 9 am to 11 pm.
Cancellation policy: 24h before arrival. By 4 pm day before check in. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.
Check in from 16:00 to 23:00 .
Check out before 10:00 .
Payment upon arrival by cash.
