Sofia Hostel Cabo is a traditional backpackers hostel offering comfortable, yet cheap, accommodation in the heart of Cabo San Lucas. Medano Beach, the marina and an eclectic mix of cafes, bars, boutiques and nightlife are all within a 1 minute walk of the hostel. Private rooms, mix dorms, terrace, kitchen, living room, hammocks and more.

Gentleman at the front desk on 10/9/25 - 10/10/25 was very helpful and pleasant. The property was clean and maintained. The price and value were the most reasonable in town. The door locks were not in great condition so were not straightforward to operate. Water also cut out for some 20 minutes at one point. This was offset by the provision of breakfast, which consisted of a very gracious gentleman making pancakes.

Let local workers stay here (who come back from work at 5 am) only 2 bathrooms, meager breakfast that was late every day, cleaning our room at 8 pm, staff yelling at a guest, noisy from Street traffic, not much in the area and just plain below average. I recommend the Mayan Monkey! Happy travels!
