About

A home for travelers where we are creating an Alternative Culture where care for eachother as humans & co-creating with Mother Earth in a respectful, loving & generous way is our deep intention...you will be surprised to see ducks & chickens about the property...& can even visit Manchitas, our pig, at her pen in the back.

Tribu is a precious space, a home away from home & little haven where we are surrounded by mountains & amidst trees, embraced by nature. Years ago a monoculture Avocado orchard, this place is now filled with a variety of fruit trees & other original plant species from this region, which we are learning to care for & re-produce.

Throughout the week we host a variety of classes such as Yoga, Qi Gong, Exercise classes, Art/Painting, Womens & Mens Circles, Sweat Lodge, Cacao Ceremonies, & more! All these activities continue to bring together a very special community of people who share an interest in deep self knowing & healing, which we are all about! We also periodically organize a wonderful Market day & different events for the community.

In search of a conscious & healthy environment, we have an agreement with the guardians of this space to keep it alcohol & smoke free. We welcome you to lovingly deepen into yourself during your stay.

The best thing about Tribu is the sense of sustainable community that you get from it. The hosts are fantastic and it is a great way to learn more about permaculture as well as feel the power of nature! Thanks also for taking me on a great hike. I truly fell in love with Malinalco!

When I read the description for the property it seemed like the best place to escape from the city to. I needed some peace and quiet and a place to relax after a hectic week in Mexico City. However, it wasn’t as relaxing as I had hoped for. It doesn’t mention anywhere that there are children living on the property. The “hostel” is more of a guesthouse situation. The house is owned and lived in by a Canadian couple and their two children (both under 3yo) - so you’re living with the family. Which is fine if u

El staff es muy cálido. Actualmente el mood del hostal es muy familiar, si estás buscando vibra más de fiesta o para conocer viajeros no es el lugar.
