Sedgefield Backpacker

Sedgefield Backpacker, situated in Sedgefield, the heart of the Garden Route South Africa. Our backpackers is one of the original Sedgefield cottages built in the 1940’s. Recently renovated, this quaint Cottage offers the traveller easy access to the town and its many interesting shops, coffee bars, health bars, the world-renowned Saturday morning Wild Oats Market and the alluring wonders of nature.

The tranquil lagoon is a 900m walk from the backpackers. Boats are available for hire to enjoy a day in the sun, watch the birds at play or to throw a line and catch a fish for dinner (or at least share the fisherman’s tale around a blazing bonfire back at the backpackers!).

Sedgefield beaches are quiet and offer unique and amazing walks and sights – the geological fossil formations of Platbank, the pools that teem with fish and sea-life at low tide at Gericke’s Point, the endless views of sea and sand from all vantage points.

Reception working hours - 09:00 to 22:00.

Check in from 14:00 to 22:00 .
Check out before 10:00 .

Payment upon arrival by cash, credit cards, debit cards.
This property may pre-authorise your card before arrival.
Taxes included.

Bookings
All reservations made will be charged in full at the time of booking.
All Cancellations of a booking must be made in writing (via email) and will only take effect once such cancellation has been received by Sedgefield Backpacker.
A full refund will be provided if cancelled more than 30 days prior to arrival.
50 % refund if cancelled 7 – 28 days prior to arrival.
0% refund if cancelled within 7 days of arrival.
No-shows and reduction in stay will also be subject to a 100% cancellation fee
A 7 % ADMIN FEE WILL BE SUBTRACTED FROM ALL REFUNDS DUE AND WILL BE PAID BACK INTO THE CARD USED FOR ORIGINAL PAYMENT.

There are NO refunds whatsoever for bookings made using a non-refundable rate.
At certain times of the year ( 15 of December to 31 of January , Easter weekend ) we reserve the right to ask for full payment with no refund
Children
No children under the age of 16 will be allowed to stay with us unless they are accompanied by the parent. No children will be allowed in our dormitories unless the family has booked and paid a deposit for the entire dormitory. Children under 2 years of age, and sharing a room with their parents, will stay free of charge.

Liability
Sedgefield Backpacker will not be held liable for the loss, destruction, or damage of any property upon the premises , whether arising from fire, theft or by the negligence (gross or otherwise) or wrongful act of any person in the employment of Sedgefield Backpacker.
