Mollys Hostel

Molly’s Hostel creates a local, homelike environment in the most authentic neighborhood in the town! Once you come in our door, you will actually feel at home where all is included: comfortable bed, towels and linens, daily cleaning service, Wifi, large common areas, hammocks, relaxing area and an amazing garden!

Molly’s Hostel is the ideal place to meet new people, spend some time relaxing away from the hustle and bustle of the cities or just use it as a base for the several water activities that Varkala has to offer. Molly’s Hostel offers spacious, airy and well-lit dorms and privates featuring simple decor and furnishing. We also have a female only dorm for solo female travelers. You can try your hand at surfing, an experience that will get your pulse racing. If you want to take it easier, you can go kayaking, stand up paddling or boating. If sightseeing is what you want to do, rent a scooter for the day, the best way to see Varkala and the surrounding areas.

Please note that for bookings made for the month of December, a no-refund policy will apply for all cancellations, regardless of the timing. This means that cancellations made at any time during December—whether 14 days, 7-14 days, or within 7 days of the scheduled arrival date—will not be eligible for a refund. This policy applies to all reservations with an arrival date between December 1st and December 31st. We encourage guests to carefully consider their travel plans during this period, as the cancellation and refund terms will not be flexible.

Late check-out can be available on prior request and is subject to availability.

In case the traveler arrives earlier than the check-in time, the guest can hang out in the common area/cafe until check-in time. (However, if the guests are arriving as early as 5:30-6 AM, it is highly recommended to book a bed for the previous night to ensure a good night's sleep). Please note a valid passport and visa for foreign nationals and a valid photo ID and address proof for Indian nationals during check-in is required.

Prepayment Policies
The room would be provided at the ongoing rates on the website and not as per the rates at which the previous booking was made.
Please make sure to leave your contact number when making a booking. We will contact you to double confirm your check in time and other details. The guest will be charged a prepayment of the total price at any time before the arrival date for the reservation confirmation, in case the guest fails to make the prepayment the reservation is subject to cancellation. Payment modes accepted at our hostels: Cash, Debit card, Credit card and UPIs.

Group Bookings
Please, contact us directly for group bookings. No group bookings can be made online. We accept a maximum of 4 people by online bookings. Please note that your booking may be cancelled if you make several separate bookings and the total number of the group is more than 4.

Amenities
All rooms have a shower, toilet and washbasin and free individual lockers (bring your own padlock or buy one at reception). Other facilities include a Common area, free Wi-Fi, a laundrette, toiletries,, cycle rental, hot water, tourist info, Lockers and functioning Kerala Cafe (We serve hearty and healthy food at great prices). Our reception is open from 9 am to 9 pm and there’s no curfew.

Age Restriction
The minimum age is 18 years.

Dormitories & Private Room
We offer 8-bed, 6 bed, 4-bed & 2 bed dorms both with and without En-suite bathrooms. Regulated AC timings in the dorms as applicable. We provide lockers in the dormitories only. Every bed has an attached locker for guests to keep their valuables. It is advised that you carry a lock for the locker if needed. However, availing a padlock from the reception will be subject to availability and at an additional cost. It is advised that you carry a lock. Towels & toiletries can be rented from the hostel for INR 50 per towel (or you can bring your own, of course). Please note that the property follows Green Social non-air-conditioned hours from 6:00 AM to 01:00 PM in the afternoon and 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the evening.
We also offer single, twin and quad private rooms with private bathrooms. Toiletries and towels are included in the charges.

Cafe
Cafe serves vegetarian as well as vegan options. The cafe timings are restricted. To maintain the backpacking culture and community spirit we promote self-service in all our space.

Free WiFi
There is free Wi-Fi in our hostel, so you can keep in touch with friends and family whilst on your travels.
