Zostel Sangla

We bring to you a raw, serene holiday experience in Nature with Zostel Sangla, our lively backpacker hostel in the Sangla village of Kinnaur.

It is nestled in a row of apple orchards and overlooks the remarkable snow-capped Himalayas of Kinnaur, perfect for a slow and sublime escape in the Himalayas. Look forward to socializing in our garden café or at the rooftop with promising views and unwinding over games in our common room. As evening arrives, you can indulge in bonfires and stargazing in our open-roof areas. For a sweet night’s sleep, you can pick between comfy dorm rooms or cozy private rooms.

Cancellation policy: 7 days before arrival.
Check in from 13:00 PM to 22:00.
Check out before 10:00 AM.
Payment upon arrival by cash.
Taxes included.
Breakfast not included.
No curfew.
We do not accept customers younger than 18 years of age.
Pets are not allowed.

Note: The roads to Sangla are open, but due to heavy snowfall, there are frequent power shortages in the region.

Here are a few cautionary notes for extremely cold months (roughly November to mid-April):

Running water will not be available because of the frigid weather. However, in each room, a 200 liters drum filled with water will be available.
An immersion rod for water heating will be available in each room.

To cope with the weather conditions:

One electric heater and one electric kettle will be available.
It’s extremely important to carry 4-5 layers of warm clothing, as the temperature gets as low as -10º to -25º.
