Hello fellow traveler! We are a new hostel in Cabo. Situated in quaint San Jose del Cabo, this colonial artisan town is the perfect getaway for backpackers, travelers, and digital nomads looking for a lively yet laid-back place to stay. We have a very friendly cat named Nopal.

Desert Heart Hostel is located in the heart of Old San Jose and the Gallery District. You'll find plenty of coffeeshops, bars, restaurants, and cute stores. The hostel has plenty of natural light, a fully equipped kitchen, several common areas, a hammock.

We are a 20-minute walk to the nearest beach. Our knowledgeable staff is billing (Spanish, English) We are the only hostel in San Jose del Cabo to offer both shared and private rooms. You should expect a cozy, friendly atmosphere. We look forward to having you stay with us! :)

Cancellation policy: 1 day before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.

Our stay was great. At first it was a bit of a “oh okay” feeling but once we settled in and the staff started to engage with us we felt very at home. It’s a small hostel with only a few rooms, almost feels more like a house than a hostel and with that comes a comfort of a homely team happy to hang out. Each night they had activities for us and we got the chance to pretty much be one with the location. The team did a great job and I will always have a little soft spot for this hostel.

Dominique recommended some great places to eat, drink and surf which added to my experience. The air con in the private room made it easy to have a great night's sleep too! Would highly recommend

Jared, and their coworkers were super kind, always willing to answer my questions!! I took the surf- Todos Santos day trip with them which was really cool, I was able to see other beach areas, the roadtrip was cool, and the company, was even better!!
