About

Coorg is where mornings begin with misty hills, the scent of coffee blossoms, and the distant calls of Malabar whistling thrushes. This serene hill station, often called the 'Scotland of India', is a blend of rolling coffee estates, ancient temples, cascading waterfalls, and a rich Kodava heritage. The hostel’s design celebrates local artistry, with coffee-themed murals, handcrafted Channapatna toys, and furniture infused with South Indian charm. The rooftop is covered with traditional Mangalorean tiles, adding to the rustic ambiance, while the in-house Unbox Café serves hearty meals with stunning green views.

Whether you're here to trek the Western ghats, explore coffee plantations, or simply savor the stillness, The Hosteller Coorg Madikeri is your perfect escape into nature, culture, and comfort. Check in and let the aroma of Coorg surround you.

Not at all a place for workation, wifi wasn’t working, location is closer to NH but not at all scenery place for vacation. Cafe food isn’t good and takes too long for the orders as there is only one cook to prepare food.

We went during the off-season in monsoon. Staff is great, daily cleaning, and food is expensive but good.
