Excellent hostel. The communal areas are so welcoming and well designed. Great location for getting to the centre or walks but also just a lovely hostel to stay in at. Rooms are clean, comfortable. Only thing that was missing is I only noticed the hairdryer outside the kitchen at the end of my stay. Some tiny welcome guide with details like that was the only thing that could improve things as its self check in if you do have silly questions. One of my favorite hostels so far.

I could not rate the staff as there were none. I was expecting to be able to buy small quantities of food but only cereal (and no milk) was available. The location suited me very well as I was walking over the moors, but in normal circumstances i would have found the climb very challenging. The dormitory was exceptionally good.

If walking from Hebden Bridge expect a 500 ft climb. Good carpark for those lucky to be able to drive. Saw no staff during the night I stayed. Very few hostellers as well. In the evening everybody disappeared and whilst I expected to have people to talk to there was nobody! Neither were there any magazines or books to peruse which I found disappointing. Had hoped to read and learn more about the area, not all of us are phone crazy.
