B&b Rifugio Uscio is in Uscio, 9 km from the sea near Portofino and Genova is in the Paradise Gulf Italian riviera. Uscio is a nice little village over Recco in the Paradise Gulf, 15 km from Portofino Park, Rapallo, Santa Margherita Ligure, Camogli (10km), and Sori. B&b Rifugio Uscio offers laundry services (for a charge), bbq area, table, chair in the nice garden etc It is an old typical Ligurian guesthouse from 1920, totally restructured with mosaic floors. In Recco, there is Blackwave school where you can rent surf boards, kayaks, and paddleboards. From April to the end of May, there is a beautiful hike (La Vie del Mare) from Uscio directly to Camogli and Portofino with scenic views.

There are public boats that go from Recco to Camogli, San Fruttuoso, and Portofino.

Good internet free wifi connection in all the house and in the garden, garden cooking area 1 time a day before 21 p.m

Sonia was a wonderful host and the property was breathtaking. The inside and outside of the place was very clean and she gave us fresh tomatoes and basil from her garden to use when cooking. Would love to return in the future and highly recommend to others :)

Highly highly recommend staying!! Sonia is a most gracious host. Incredibly welcoming and kind and provided delicious food from her garden. She also had lots of advice for places to visit around Portofino park and the best ways of getting there. Even leant me a swimming mask so I could look at the fish! And the place itself is beautiful, wonderfully peaceful and has the most incredible view. As a solo female traveller I felt very safe. Thank you Sonia ! I will remember this stay forever !

Sonia made our stay at her hostel really comfortable. Not only did she upgrade our room, she also gave us great recommendations on where to visit during our stay. Her hostel is in a lovely location in a small town in the mountains. She took us and some others staying at the hostel out for sangria and food at a local bar. The transport was the only issue when staying as buses stop quite early which made going out in the evening to the towns harder. Sonia was a great host, we would recommend!
