Italian run, the best hostel in Sao Luis, in an old converted colonial house, centrally located. The dorm is 20 beds, true, but it's HUGE, with very high ceilings and lots of space. The communal area is modern and nice to hang out in. My only complaint is the lack of attention to cleaning / the bathrooms. If they fix this then it'll be an amazing place. All the other options in SL look grim!

The dorm room is not what it looks like in the photos! 20 bunk beds in a room with no door, just a curtain. The staff were lovely though.
