Hangten is a super fun, relaxed and unique hostel located outside of Arugam Bay City. We offer a clean, homely environment with a super social atmosphere.

🛹Skate Park!?!
☺ For starters, we have our very own skate park right inside the hostel! It’s free to use and we have plenty of boards available! If you don’t know how to skate- no stress! We want to teach everyone who comes here! If you just want to watch, no issues- come sit by the park and have a chat!

🕶️Daily Activities
☺ Everything from surf sessions, beer pong, sunset walks, trivia nights, (our super popular) family dinners and so much more. Hangten is a super social hostel! Don’t get me wrong, we do love to dance, but we aren’t primarily focussed on partying.

☕️Best coffee in town
☺ If you are an early morning surfer and need a pick-me-up, you won’t be disappointed! Coffee lovers be warned, you’re gonna keep coming back!

🥞🍛In-house Restaurant
☺ Our favourite uncle is serving up daily breakfast and cooks up for our amazing family dinners!

🧑‍🏫Community Involvement
☺ We run super special daily English classes for the local kids nearby, then after they come to skate! Come sit in on the class, help teach and join the skating fun!

💤 Comfortable Sleeps
☺ Comfortable and cold sleeps! All of our dorm rooms are equipped with A/C, our private rooms have an effective fan cooling system. All dorm rooms equipped with lockers- please bring your own locks to secure your valuables! If you need a towel, no problem! We can supply with a deposit of RS. 500 (refunded at checkout)

🛺 We are located outside of town, away from the hustle and bustle! But if you need to get to town- no stress! We have a very reliable tuk tuk service with fixed prices to get you anywhere!

Cancellation Policy: 1 day before arrival. In case of late cancellation or no show, you will be charged for the first night of your stay.

Checkout: 08:00- 11:00
Late Check In: If you plan on arriving outride of check in time, please make sure to message us beforehand so we can arrange your check in.
