Welcome to Montenegro Backpackers Home Kotor. This is a very sociable place with a high level of hospitality, where guests can feel at home and easily connect with other travelers. Our location in the heart of Old Town Kotor, in a historic stone house, provides easy access to beaches and other tourist attractions.

The company also operates Montenegro Backpackers Home Budva, which is located in the old town of Budva.

The accommodation has undergone a complete renovation for the 2026 season, featuring a modern design that ensures a pleasant stay for guests.

The kitchen, which is considered the heart of the home, is designed to cater to community cooking. The air-conditioned dormitories are equipped with lockers that are spacious enough to accommodate even the largest backpacks, ensuring a comfortable stay in well-maintained rooms.
We offer comfortable, solid beds with curtains (bottom and top) with no shaking (the same quality of sleeping on the upper and lower beds), and lockers suitable even for extra-large suitcases or backpacks
Montenegro Backpackers Home in Kotor offers accommodation in 3 dormitories that have a total of 16 beds. There are two 6-bed dorms and one 4-bed dorm. The accommodation also offers a reception desk, shared bathroom, toilet, communal kitchen, and common room for guests to use.


TOURS, TRANSFERS, AND ACTIVITIES
Montenegro Backpackers Home Kotor is a part of Montenegro Hostel Company, which was established in 2009. We offer a wide range of transfers, tours, activities, and excursions in Montenegro. Guests can choose from full-day tours, international tours to Albania, Croatia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, budget tours, shore tours, sailing tours, free city tours, and more. All of our transfers, tours, and activities can be booked easily and conveniently through our website or in person at our reception desk.

CONDITIONS
Before making a reservation, please review our conditions to avoid any misunderstandings upon your arrival.
Please note that our check-in time is from 12:00 (the earliest) to 20:00 (8 PM the latest). Check-out time is up to 11:00 AM. If you plan to arrive after 8 PM due to taking an afternoon bus from Dubrovnik, Tirana, or any other city, please be aware that we will not be able to accommodate you, and your reservation will be canceled. We respect the privacy of our guests after 9 PM and do not allow late check-ins that may disturb other guests. Also, we no longer offer late check-out or daily stay options. If you have an afternoon bus departure, you can store your backpack at the bus station for a small fee. In rare cases, we may allow a one-hour grace period for check-in (up to 9 PM) or check-out (up to noon). However, after this time, we will not be able to accommodate your request.

The tourist tax of 1 euro per person, per day, is charged upon registration upon arrival. The minimum stay is 2 nights, but exceptions may apply for one-night stays during high season. We have an age limit for guests younger than 18 years and older than 50 years.

Please note that our Backpackers Home Kotor is not suitable for digital nomads or those who work online. During the summer, there may be some noise from the clubs around. The music starts at 10 PM and ends at 1 AM. Therefore, if you are a light sleeper, you may want to consider this before booking your stay. We recommend staying in a more tranquil place if you are sensitive to noise. There is no free parking lot within the old town zone.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Our cancellation policy states that guests may cancel their reservation free of charge up to 72 hours before their scheduled arrival. Upon making a reservation, Montenegro Hostel Company, which manages Backpackers Home Budva, will charge guests the first night's stay in advance as a deposit. The remaining balance will be paid by the guest upon arrival. If a guest cancels their reservation at least 3 days before their arrival, Montenegro Hostel will refund the charged deposit. However, if a guest cancels their reservation within 72 hours of their scheduled arrival, the amount of the first night's stay will not be refundable.

PLEASE NOTE
Guests who don't cancel reservations officially via Hostelworld and don't show up will be charged for the full amount of the stay.

Just let's be clearer.
After making a reservation, Hostelworld will charge 15% of the total amount as an agency commission. Additionally, Montenegro Hostel (the official name of our company) will charge the first night's fee in advance, which serves as a deposit for accommodation. Upon arrival, guests are required to pay the remaining balance due, and the two mentioned amounts will be subtracted from the full amount. If a cancellation is made up to 72 hours before the scheduled arrival, both amounts will be refunded to the customer.
