I went here as it is by far the cheapest hostel in the area, and the area is really nice but I would only recommend this place if you’re using it as a base to sleep. I understand the price is low so the facilities will reflect that but basic things were missing e.g door knob, lock on the toilet door, I had to ask for toilet paper etc. This is the only place I have stayed in Latin America where my food has been eaten from the kitchen also, but there are no stickers provided to label your food.

You certainly get what you pay for. Not ideal for solo female travelers as there is not 24 hour reception. I was made uncomfortable by a long term guest. The terrace upstairs has potential but overall it is not the most social place. Kitchen was basic but fine, a few comunal spices or oil would be nice.

A cleaner only comes 3 times a week which means the kitchen and toilets and showers get dirty quickly, especially on weekends. I have had to request toilet paper and handsoap - noone seems to take proactive approach. Kitchen area is tiny for the over 40 guests. Pots and pans battered. Only one spoon. Clearly no regular maintenance. Shelves in sleeping pods and kitchen table hanging by their hinges. Mattresses worn out and really uncomfortable. Little evidence of group activities. Reviews ignored
