• ❄️ AC Sustainability Hours – Coron is an island with limited energy resources. Our air conditioning runs from 5 PM to 9 AM only. This is non-negotiable during high season to ensure fairness for all guests. If you need continuous AC for health, comfort, or personal preference, we kindly suggest choosing accommodation elsewhere.
• 🤝 Mindful Travelers – We expect our guests to be kind, considerate, and respectful, without a sense of entitlement or excessive demands. We are not a 5-star hotel; we are a family-run accommodation that thrives on a welcoming, family-friendly environment.
• 🐱 Home Cats – We have a few well-loved cats who live on the property and are part of our family. They add to the relaxed, homey atmosphere. While they are gentle and cared for, this may not be suitable for guests with allergies or those uncomfortable around animals.

📍 Location & Atmosphere
Nestled in a vibrant neighborhood just a 5–10 minute walk from Coron’s main plaza, ã Casa Portuguesa Coron offers a central yet local experience. We are conveniently located near cafés, markets, dive shops, and tour pickup points—making us an ideal base for your island adventures.

At the heart of the hostel is Garden Patio, the soul of the hostel—a breezy, open-air hangout inspired by the relaxed spirit of Coron and the charm of coastal Portugal. It’s the perfect place to unwind, share stories, and connect with fellow travelers from around the world.

🕒 Check-In / Check-Out Times
• Check-in: 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM
• Check-out: by 10:00 AM
• Reception Hours: 9AM – 10:00 PM
• Kindly email the hostel team in advance if you expect to arrive after 7:00 PM. Without prior notice, reservations may be marked as a no-show after this time.
• Read the House Rules to keep our shared spaces orderly, clean and fair for all guests.

💵 Payment & 🌤️ Cancellation Policy & 🚪 Right of Admission
• Full Payment Required – Full Payment is required at least 15 days before arrival to guarantee your booking. Please complete the payment in full through the secure link that will be emailed or sent to you. Non-payment will result in cancellation once the payment link expires.
• Guaranteed Bed: The Hostelworld deposit reserves your booking but does not guarantee your bed; only full payment guarantee your bed/ stay. For deposit inquiries, please contact Hostelworld directly.
• Cancellation & No-Show: Canceling or changing dates within 15 days of check-in, or not showing up, will incur a 100% charge.
• No-Show Policy: Even if fully paid, a booking cannot be held indefinitely. Once marked as a no-show, it is considered cancelled, 100% charges apply, the bed cannot be reclaimed once released, and outstanding balances must be settled first — guests cannot make a workaround to save money.
• Unpaid Balances: Guests with unpaid amounts, including no-show or cancellation charges, cannot make or confirm new bookings until all outstanding balances are fully settled. — guests cannot make a workaround to save money.
• Email-Guest Responsibility: All payment instructions are sent via email. The hostel cannot monitor individual guest circumstances; lack of signal, being in transit, or claims of emails not being received remain the guest’s responsibility. Guests must regularly check their email, including spam or junk folders, to keep their reservation confirmed.
• Payment Method: Payments at the front desk are cash only to avoid extra fees.
• Right to Refuse Admission: The hostel reserves the full right to cancel reservations or refuse entry if payment requirements or booking conditions are not met, or if a guest engages in entitled, disrespectful, argumentative, or provocative behavior toward staff, other guests, or the property, which may cause discomfort or disruption to other guests. Any direct threat to the hostel team or other guests will result in immediate expulsion. This policy helps ensure a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for everyone.

🌞 Energy Sustainability
• AC is available throughout your stay, with a scheduled sustainability break from 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.
• Please note that during high season, this schedule is strictly observed with no exceptions. Guests who require continuous air-conditioning for medical, comfort, or personal reasons are kindly advised to consider booking a private room or alternative accommodation (other hostel/ hotel) better suited to their needs.

🛏️ Room
• Bed preferences cannot be guaranteed. We operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Requests for specific beds, such as lower bunks, will be noted and accommodated if possible, but cannot be guaranteed. Guests requiring a mandatory specific bed should consider alternative accommodations.
• Fresh towels are provided at check-in; change or extras are available for a fee. Please don’t take towels outside—lost or damaged ones will be charged.
• During low occupancy periods, guests may be reassigned to another shared dormitory of the same rate category based on availability and operational requirements. Room layout, dorm size, and bed configuration may vary. Guests who decline reassigned accommodation may request cancellation; however, standard cancellation and no-refund policies will still apply.

🍔 Food & Drinks
• Strictly no eating or drinking is allowed inside the room or bed capsule. A cleaning fee may apply if this guideline is not followed.

🔓 No Curfew
• We operate a no-curfew policy. Guests are free to explore Coron and return at any time.
• We kindly ask our guests to inform the front desk of their expected return time, especially if arriving late in the evening.

🧳 Luggage Storage
• FREE luggage storage when you book a tour, service, or stay for a minimum of 2 nights.

🚪 Right of Admission
• We reserve the right to deny entry or cancel a booking without refund in cases where guests exhibit disrespectful behavior toward staff, other guests, or the property. This policy helps ensure a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for all.

👥 Group Bookings
• While we will make every effort to accommodate groups in the same dormitory, this cannot be guaranteed.
• Do not accept bookings for more than 10 persons under one name or group unless pre-approved.
• Bookings that appear to be for large groups (10+ Persons) will be cancelled automatically without a refund on any deposit made through third-party booking platforms.
• The Group Leader or Booker (the person who made the reservation for the group) is fully responsible for all members of the party, including any purchases, damages, booking changes, special requests, additional demands, and extra services or charges incurred during the stay.

• Each capsule features:

Perfect for solo travelers who want a semi-private, hotel-like feel while keeping the hostel social vibe. Enjoy your own spacious double bed after a long day of travel or adventure—comfort and privacy without paying for a full private room.
