Do yourself a favor and stay here! I loved everything about the Runaway Pineapple Lodge. The jungle environment was so beautiful, I loved being at treetop level, hearing birds. It's so close to the west end: an easy walk to the road, and then quick walk along the road. I walked alone in daylight and got a taxi on the road at night. You can also flag down a colectivo (shared van) to get where you're going. The building itself is so cool and unique. I shared the dorm with one other traveler. Despite hot weat

I stayed in the female dorm and it was wonderful. A full view of the west side on the top floor—verdant green swathed all around with a view of Luna bay in the distance (the sunset was wonderful). It’s a short walk down hill and a mile walk from West end. Very convenient location, and easy to navigate without maps. Quiet, and out of the hustle of west end. I got a great night’s sleep. No Wi-Fi currently, but the owner hopes to change that.
