About

Hey, I’m Rishab. After crashing in 100+ hostels across the world from mountain huts to beach dorms, I finally built one of my own, right here in a beautiful waterfront place just a 7 minutes ride from Fort Kochi.

This place is special. The hostel sits surrounded by calm backwaters, so you wake up to rippling water, fall asleep to it and live right beside it. You don’t have to chase sunsets or book fancy boat rides: just step outside, grab a chai and watch the sky turn gold and pink over the backwaters. We also have our own badminton court, so you can start your mornings with a game, then come back to birds chirping, fishermen doing their thing, and the sun rising slowly over the water. It’s all part of the vibe.

Inside, the dorms are simple, cozy, and made for real travelers who want to stare at the backwaters the whole day: clean beds, good bathrooms and plenty of space to unwind. The common areas are perfect for lazy afternoons, story swaps, or those “I just want to chill today” moods. The atmosphere is social but never forced so you’ll always find someone to hang with or a quiet spot to call your own.

And the best part? You get the best of both worlds.
This place gives you the raw beauty of Kerala’s village life, fishermen casting nets, mangrove walks, coconut trees and locals who’ll always wave back. But when you’re in the mood for cafés, art or nightlife, Fort Kochi and the city are just minutes away.

It’s a backpacker’s home, built by a traveler, for travelers where sunsets, sports, stories, and real connections come together.

If you’re into sunsets, sports, stories, and being part of something real, you’ll fit right in.

Guests praise the friendly and helpful staff, the beautiful serene location with stunning sunset views, and the social atmosphere that makes it easy to meet fellow travellers. It’s a budget-friendly hostel in a peaceful location. Quite decent for the price.

Kitchen was a dirty hob sink and fridge. Washing machine looked about a decade old and wasn’t working. There weren’t social activities at all (maybe because it’s not the peak tourist season) Most of the chairs are broken. The mattresses are THE HARDEST surface I’ve had to sleep on. No reception staff, just an online check in - so no recommendations or tips about the area at all. Easy enough to get a tuktuk into fort cochi, costing about 160 rupees.

I have no idea how this hostel got to its current rating. The location is quite nice if a bit far outside the city. The staff is one guy who can barely communicate in English and cannot answer any questions. I didn't use the kitchen, but it looked pretty horrible. The bathrooms were fine but not exactly clean either.
