About

NEWLY OPENED, NEWLY RENOVATED (NOV. 2025).

🏠 About Hobi Hostel Boutique
Hobi Hostel Boutique is housed in a beautifully restored historic mansion that has stood for over a century in the heart of São Paulo. Every detail — from the original wooden floors to the colorful décor — tells a story of the city’s artistic past and vibrant present. We’re an independent, family-run hostel created for travelers who value design, comfort, and a sense of belonging.
Our house blends shared and private rooms with generous common spaces, such as a garden, coworking area, TV lounge, and an atelier that connects guests through art and conversation. It’s a place to slow down, meet interesting people, and live São Paulo like a local.

📍 Location & Neighborhood
We’re located in Bela Vista (Bixiga), one of São Paulo’s most traditional and lively districts — just a short walk from Avenida Paulista, Liberdade, and the historic downtown. Here, every corner hides a story: theaters, antique stores, Italian cantinas, samba bars, and art collectives make up the DNA of this neighborhood.

In the evenings, the streets come alive — it’s where locals and travelers gather to enjoy live music, street food, and an ever-changing cultural scene. Whether you’re into samba at Funilaria, jazz at Madame, alternative shows at Mundo Pensante, or stand-up nights at Bixiga Comedy, the best of São Paulo nightlife is just steps from your door.

🚇 Getting Around
We’re conveniently located between the Brigadeiro and São Joaquim metro stations (both about a 10-minute walk), connecting you easily to every corner of the city — from Ibirapuera Park to the Pinheiros district.

💫 Why Stay With Us
Stay at Hobi Hostel Boutique to experience the true essence of São Paulo — cultural, creative, and full of stories. Here, you’ll find the balance between comfort and authenticity, in a house that celebrates the city’s history while welcoming the travelers shaping its future.

Had a really special stay at Hobi Hostel Boutique. The staff are incredible and happy and willing to help with anything you need. They have such a great understanding of the area and really took the time to get to know me and suggest things I would enjoy. The surrounding area is great and there is lots to do. Also, my room was SO cozy with great lighting and I slept like a baby- Thank’s SO much for a wonderful stay. I hope to be back some day ☺️🫶🏽✨

We are a little older than your average backpacker. We are at the beginning of our 5 month tour of S. America. Hobi was our first hostel and we couldn’t have asked for a more welcoming team of people. The team are also extremely proud of their renovations of this old house and are passionate about its history. Breakfast was always very filling and our room was cosy and clean. The area is absolutely wonderful. Thank you everyone at Hobi for making this first experience so great.
