About
Wildcat Hostel Yala is a female-friendly backpacker hostel and digital nomad destination on Old Katagamuwa Road, Kataragama — meters from the boundary of Yala National Park and 15 minutes from the Katagamuwa (Gate 2) entrance. As one of the few hostels near Yala built specifically with solo female travelers in mind, we offer a safe, secure, and welcoming base for backpackers, remote workers, and wildlife lovers exploring Sri Lanka's most famous safari park. Yala Safari Packages (Sharing & Private)
We run daily Yala National Park safaris directly from the hostel — an easy way for solo female travelers and backpackers to join a friendly group departure. Sharing Jeep Safaris are the most budget-friendly way to see the park, splitting vehicle costs across the group. Private Jeeps are available on request for couples and photographers who want flexible stops.
