🏡 Rooftop Hostel in Dakhla – Comfortable Stay in an Authentic Neighborhood

Welcome to our cozy rooftop hostel in the heart of Dakhla, Morocco ; the first (and only) of its kind! Born from the friendship between a Moroccan and a French, the project started in June 2025 in another location also in the center of Dakhla. The adventures of the Rooftop Hostel Dakhla now continue in the authentic and lively neighborhood of Hay Al Ouakala. Join us for a social travel experience, perfect for backpackers, surfers and sunset lovers!

We offer a mix of private rooms (twin and double with private bathrooms) and shared mixed and female dormitories on the upper floor. All guests can enjoy the large rooftop terrace, ideal for relaxing, meeting other travelers, practicing yoga, and watching sunsets over the ocean.

The hostel features a shared kitchen and living room, with a book-exchange shelf, video games and comfortable couches, where guests often gather for mint tea and conversation. Markets, cafés, restaurants and the beach are all within walking distance.

We organize airport shuttle, desert excursions, as well as surf and kitesurf lessons or equipment rentals—please tell us your needs upon booking. A breakfast and meal menu (including traditional tajine) is available upon request—please book breakfast the day before and other meals at least 3 hours in advance. A laundry service is also available for guests, for an additional fee.

Taxis are easy to find around the hostel, the main bus station (with connections to Agadir and Mauritania) is close by, and we also rent bicycles to visit the city at your pace. An indoor garage is available to rent for guests vehicles on the premises, for an additional fee. Street parking is free in the area.
