About

A small social hostel in a real Yogyakarta kampung, right by the Kali Code river. Not a tourist bubble. Not a party hostel. A soulful place to land, breathe, and meet good people.
We built this house with travellers in mind: AC, proper showers, strong WiFi, comfy beds, quiet corners to work or journal. European comfort, Indonesian soul.
Outside our door: real neighborhood life and a garden. The call to prayer from the mosque next door. Warungs around the corner. Locals who'll greet you like you've always lived here.
For: slow travellers, solo wanderers, volunteers, culture seekers, anyone who wants the real Indonesia.
Not for: parties, club crawls, tourist autopilot.
Good to know: kampung location = walkable, no car parking. Mosque = part of the experience.
A percentage of every booking goes into our community water project – supporting clean drinking water for our neighborhood.
Stay a night. Stay a month. We have space for both.

This was such a wonderful stay with such lovely people. Fitri was such an angel helping with whatever you need and showing some cool local spots to support small businesses. The coolest part is that the hostel also supports a clean water fund for the local village it’s in!! I definitely recommend staying here to feel connected with locals

We really liked Kali Code Home! Clean, nice location and the hosts are very friendly and welcoming. One of the hosts showed us around in Yogyakarta and made us breakfast every morning. Also, the neighborhood is a very nice community. They celebrated an Islam party and invited us to join. Thereby they use a part of their income to support the community, so that they can eat together and help each other when necessary. It feels nice and welcoming to walk around.

This is a quiet western style hostel. Very clean and comfortable. It’s located in a village where only local people live, very nice atmosphere. Highly recommended!
