About

Welcome to our unique little hostel in a charming old townhouse right by the river! If you’re looking for a place that is quiet, affordable, and comfortable, you’ll feel right at home here.
We aren't a party hostel—we’re a place for people who love good food and good company. Most of us love to cook, so we spend a lot of time together in our big professional kitchen. You're always welcome to join in!
When we aren’t cooking, you’ll find us in the living room watching movies, playing games, or playing the piano. It’s a very relaxed space where it’s easy to meet people and just hang out.
Come stay with us if you want a cozy spot to rest, talk, and feel like part of the family

Summary of traveller reviews

Shine Power in Bangkok offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with incredibly friendly and accommodating staff, especially Manager Jhun and Gun. Guests enjoy tasty food, comfortable beds, and a great location. The property is still developing but already provides a charming experience with fun activities like pizza nights. It's ideal for solo travellers and gap year adventurers seeking a social vibe.

Such a warm hostel, also stayed at one of their hostels in Koh Phangan (wanderlust) also very good. I can see a lot of potential in this place, its not yet finished. The owner even tried to let me stay for free. We repaired the piano together, I had a great time. Beds are comfy, food is no doubt tasty, bathroom is nice and location is perfect for someone more interested in the old, more real areas of Bangkok.

A new hostel, a large house being converted. Very quiet, plenty of AC and a beautiful living room. It is a bit rudimentary but that gives it a charm, and above all, the owner REALLY cares about making sure you have a good experience! Such a nice guy, I'm sure there will be more new additions every week! The Kitchen is baller and he made everyone homemade pizza. Awesome spot definitely check it out
