About

DADA Bohemian House
Welcome! Mi Casa tu Casa!

Our house is a surrealist work of art designed by the multifaceted Canadian Victor Klassen and it’s an open invitation to step into his world and enjoy a unique experience blending art, architecture, and Mother Nature. Our Art-Lodge operates as a ECO-HOTEL-HOSTEL and also as a residence for artists and musicians seeking the tranquility of the forest for inspiration.

It’s a special place thanks to commitment to sustainability; our facilities feature solar panels, rainwater harvesting, waste recycling, and DRY TOILETS. (We have some private room options with a standard bathroom) Surrounded by oak trees, we have access to the forest for hiking. You can enjoy our beautiful view of the lake and its water sports, paraglider over breathtaking landscapes, or simply stroll through the town's picturesque streets, discovering artisan shops and delicious local cuisine.

DADA Bohemian House is a new project that seeks to connect with travelers from around the world, artists, musicians, free thinkers, dissidents, holistic therapists, and anyone wishing to share their art or philosophy—and who is looking for a welcoming, vibrant, and peaceful environment to find inspiration and create art. We feature a Community Art Studio and an Acoustic Amphitheater, open for cultural exchange across all art forms, as well as common areas designed for relaxation or co-working. We are also a holistic place: we have a meditation room where spiritual retreats, Vipassana, and ancestral medicine ceremonies are held, and we offer traditional Temazcal.

We are located in the wooded area of Las Lajas in Valle de Bravo (just 3.5 km from the town center). We have easy access to shared taxis that take you to and from the center of Valle de Bravo for 20 pesos per person. We are a 15-minute drive away. A five-minute walk—exiting via the lower part of the property and using Cda. Pedrera—leads to various shops and small restaurants. A ten-minute walk brings you to El Arco, where you can find a wide variety of grocery stores and restaurants. We recommend doing your grocery shopping before you arrive, or early in the day, as the stores close at nightfall.

We are on the way to San Bartolo Amanalco, Mexico. If you are looking for a place to meditate and connect with nature before a Vipassana retreat, we are the best option. If you are arriving by bus from Mexico City, get off at the "Arco" stop. You don't need to go all the way to the Valle de Bravo bus station. From the gas station, you can take a shared taxi ($20) heading toward Villa Victoria or Tecnológico and ask the driver to drop you off at the lumberyard or Cementos Fortaleza on the curve, just past "Sin Fin." If you take a private taxi, the fare to our property should not exceed $80–100 pesos. Ask first please!!

Thank you for joining us in this new chapter!
