Find Us in Swellendam
Located halfway between Cape Town and George along the scenic N2 highway, Swellendam is the perfect stop-over or primary destination for your nature escape. The drive from Cape Town takes approximately 2.5 hours, while George is roughly 2 hours away, offering a beautiful journey through the heart of the Garden Route's rolling landscapes.

From Cape Town
Take the N2 Highway from Cape Town toward George.
Travel for about 220km through Somerset West and over Sir Lowry's Pass.
Continue past Caledon and Riviersonderend.
As you enter Swellendam, drive into the town centre, turning left at Suzuki Dealership / Barrels and Blues pub. Follow this road, keeping left at the Y-Junction, with the Golf Course on your left. Hit the gravel road onto Hermitage North Avenue, and continue for 1.6 km.
From George
Head West on the N2 towards Cape Town.
Travel for approximately 170km, passing through Mossel Bay and Riversdale.
Take the first Swellendam entrance and drive into the town centre, turning right at Suzuki / Barrels and Blues pub. Follow this road, keeping left at the Y-Junction, with the Golf Course on your left. Hit the gravel road onto Hermitage North Avenue, and continue for 1.6 km.
