Everything was straightforward and clean and it was a good place to stay after getting into the airport, 45 min drive to this hostel, and then on to La Fortuna the next morning.

Really disappointed with this hostel. It was clean, had a nice garden and 2 really cute cats but... No tours were happening even though they advertised them. They don't let you use the kitchen (we knew this) but to fill up our water bottles we had to always ask. The staff seem disinterested, don't talk to you and are quite direct. If you don't have a car it's difficult to visit the volcano poas or the waterfalls so we were quite bored as not many people were there.

I feel the Hostel should be advertised more as a hotel then a hostel. Very very small limited parking off an extremely busy road. Restaurant is closed Monday Tuesday but that is not mentioned on the site. Should be. Downtown on a main street is extremely noisy all night. Some staff not very helpful. One fellow was extremely helpful in helping us get our vehicle parked. I didn’t get his name, but he made the Hostel memorable. One bed was comfortable, the other a bit lumpy. Location ok if no car
