Summary of traveller reviews

Youth Hostel Fussen offers a friendly welcome and clean rooms. Guests appreciate the good breakfast and helpful staff, especially when arriving late. The location is convenient, about a 10-15 minute walk from the train station and town centre. It's a great base for exploring.

Not as advertised. More of a family hotel than a youth hostel. Didn’t expect to be surrounded by children the entire stay like most youth hostels are 18 plus. Paid extra for a membership wasn’t worth it. Wouldn’t stay again as personal preference

I like the hostel, but I arrived during the time there is no one working the desk. It was a ghost town, I got lucky I found Manuel there cleaning and he showed me where the lockers are. You can leave your things during this time but a little inconvenient there's no one at the desk from 10 until 5. Very clean, the breakfast is good, backyard area is so nice, location is decent -15 min walk to the center/train. There are no locks on doors to the rooms but there are medium lockers for your things.
