Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Il Castello Hostel is determined to protect the maximum health of its guests and staffs.
For this reason, we have implemented a security protocol that includes: entry of 1 person at a time for chek-in operations;sanitization of all rooms, bathrooms and common areas several times a day by vaporization of 0,5% hydrogen peroxide; use in some areas of the Air Purification System through Daikin Flash Streamer Technology to reduce any viruses present; sterilized keys by an ultra violet UVC light system that will be entrust to you; body temperature control with infrared no-touch medical thermometer before check-in and during the stay; special signs of the position to be kept at reception to maintain the safety distance; automatic shoe sanitization path at each entrance; free hand sanitizer gel for guests; must use the mask during the whole stay; daily cleaning and sanitization of the rooms and all common areas and also through the use of disinfectant germicidal sprays for the air; sanitizing of the bathrooms several times a day; sanitization of the entire air conditioning system; instruction of rules is present in the entire structure to be respected for the fight against coronavirus.

Il Castello Hostel Boutique
It consists of a spacious and bright HOSTEL with 6 bedrooms, including 1 bedroom Japanese-style, large entrance hall, large pink marble floor of Portugal, like the American bar counter, large room.
The finishes are luxurious and include parquet flooring, air conditioning and heating, 3 bathrooms, 2 with Jacuzzi, lift, large closets to the whole wall to the bedrooms plus a large walk-in closet for the master bedroom.
It provides a reception with a fax service ,and city maps.
Late check-in only upon acceptance and availability of Castello Hostel. Until 9 pm, with appointment ONLY and application of a penalty of €10 per person.

The location overall is fine, but the staff are unhelpful and wouldnt let me wait inside the hostel for my train ride so i had to walk around the streets for 2 hours, there was multiple drug users walking around shirtless within the property and i didnt feel comfortable at any one moment, a naked man was changing in my room and i was forced to vacate the lackluster common room to sit in a hotel lobby for 3 hours just to get out of that hell hole, i wouldnt recommend this hostel.

The staff was horrible and rude. Also we got hurried for no reason with checkout. Sms and the staff showing up. We were on time, that's too much. The facilities were dirty, the toilet was not working and the shower was horrible.
