Valleys with rushing water, mountains wreathed by white clouds, forests with luxuriously green trees … All lands with soil are changed by the laborious people of Zhuang Nationality and Yao Nationality year after year into a striking world of curve. We are located in the core area of Longji Terraced Fields Scenic Area - “Pingan Village”. In this vast area, serpentine paths like thin ropes intersperse among the terraces. The “Nine Dragons and Five Tigers” of great momentum and the beautiful “Moon and Seven Stars” are prime of the terraces, providing the terraces with both a shocking beauty of connecting sky and earth and an artistic sentiment of comeliness and grace. Here you can enjoy blooming camellia, murmuring rill and flashing stars, taste tea in the inn, and chat freely. This inn is located between two scenic spots. And it takes only half an hour to go from this inn to the sightseeing stands. Located at the center of the village, the inn is only 15 minutes’ drive from the ticket entrance. Pingan Village is 27km away from Longsheng County (about 1 hour’s drive) and 90km away from Guilin City.

I was there during monsoon and low season, which can explain some of the following comments, but still wanted to leave a review for fellow travelers :). This hostel is cheap as expected from a YHO, but I would recommend spending few extra ¥ for a nicer place. Sheets on the bed were clean but the rest of the hostel is covered in thick carpets that are quite smelly with the constant humidity. Nobody at the reception desk for most of the day, common space is not appealing and not the best view.

The room was a quite humid but anyway it was comfortable. The only problem with this hostel is the wooden structure. Though it creates a nice atmosphere, you’ll hear anyone speaking in other rooms. However, people tend to be quiet and to go sleep early. Thus I could sleep without problems. The guy at reception is very helpful and friendly. The food is really good and the atmosphere is warm :) Good value for money!
