What is Riad Dia? Quite simply, it is the house that you may have once designed in your head and though 'no, its just not possible I could ever live in a place like this'. An incredible traditional riad with the atmosphere of a backpackers hostel, Riad Dia is located less than a minute from the main square Place D'Jeema el Fna. With a lovely swimming pool in the communal courtyard - colorful, sunny and social, lots of dorm rooms (and these are no ordinary dorms - they are seriously luxury), and several terraces to relax on, sunbathe, put the world to rights.

The riad is traditional, but the colors are bright and wild! It is an inside out, upside down, topsy curvy house. The gardens are indoors - you can even do some fruit picking). Sit among our courtyard gardens with fellow travelers and new friends; make crazy plans for your travels - they will definitely become realities. Or, don't make crazy travel plans! Just enjoy our unique atmosphere over tea and shisha.

Groups are more than welcome. We have significant experience with all kinds of groups, and it really is the perfect space in Marrakesh for a trekking group, photography class group or student group.

Riad Dia is a little contrast of a riad. It is perfect for independent travellers looking for adventure and a place to relax and at the same time it is a one-stop shop for your entire Moroccan trip. We can help you with every aspect of your trip and you don't even need to leave the swimming pool!

We welcome guests from everywhere outside of Marrakech, but do not accept re-locators.
Cancellation policy: 48 hours before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the nighta of your stay.
Any amendments to reservations UPON arrival also require 48 hours notice.

We will ask for the CVV code via email, if you do not provide it, we will cancel your booking!

About Marrakech

Marrakech is a picturesque city in western Morocco, sitting in the shadow of the Atlas mountain range. The city is an eclectic assortment of mosques, palaces, gardens, and marketplaces (called souks). You’ll love the unique Moroccan architecture and traditional tile work throughout the city!

Marrakech has a wide variety of amazing hostels that are sure to make your trip an experience you will never forget. Marrakech hostels are centrally located, near numerous gardens and other attractions; you have everything you could want right on your doorstep (and in the hostel too).

Staying near the Medina will give you an experience you simply can’t get anywhere else. It’s a UNESCO world heritage site and the largest ancient market in North Africa. The winding streets have everything you might expect from Marrakech and so much more. Staying near Hivernage is a great way to escape the rush of the Medina, while still being able to experience the buzz of Marrakech. The Royal Theatre, nightclubs, cocktail lounges, and upscale restaurants are just some of the great places you’ll be able to check out.

Marrakech’s souks are the perfect place to have an authentic experience. Souk Semmarine is the largest of the souks and offers everything from baked goods to beautifully crafted lanterns. Another unique option is Souk Place des Épices, where you’ll find colourful piles of spices ready to liven up your meals. Once you’ve had your fun in the bustling souks, you’ll be ready to relax; Jardin Majorelle is a beautifully designed garden that you’ll fall in love with right away. Be sure to check out the historic Djemaa el-Fna; a place of public execution turned social hub with snake charming, acrobatics, astrology, and Gnaoua troupes.

Taxis are the most efficient way to get around the main attractions. Grand taxis carry up to six people and have fixed fares on specific routes. Petit taxis are slightly more expensive but will take you anywhere you like. A Caleche is a fun way to get around, these horse-drawn carriages have fixed fares on set routes or you can haggle to get elsewhere. Buses are also available and are an affordable way to explore the city but might be overwhelming and crowded. If you want complete freedom, look into renting a moped or bicycle!
