Drunken Monkey Experience Hostel – Prague
Looking for more than just a place to crash? Welcome to Drunken Monkey Experience Hostel, your gateway to Prague’s best nights, brightest days, and boldest adventures.

We’ve got one of the coolest social courtyards in the city — with a full-service bar, food truck, beer garden seating, beer pong, live DJs, bands, and space for 150 people. We host daily events, happy hours, and sometimes even bring the open bar energy right to the courtyard.
Need to chill? Step into our indoor lounge with pool table, Giant Jenga, comfy seating, and a big screen ready for any sport you ask for. And yes, brunch fans: our food truck serves up late-morning recovery fuel, with optional bottomless mimosa, beer, and wine packages to keep the good times rolling. (High Season Only)

Rooms include mixed dorms, female-only dorms, and private rooms (some with en-suites). All beds come with linens and lockers. Towels are included in private rooms or available for purchase at €5.
We offer:

• Super-fast 200/200 Mbps Wi-Fi
• Daily cleaning service
• Luggage storage
• Lockers in every room
• Reception with actual humans, not robots

📍 Location, Location...
Smack in the middle of three of Prague's most exciting districts, you'll never be short of something to do:
• Žižkov – full of weird, wonderful bars, local restaurants, and the famous Riegrovy Sady beer garden (best sunset view in the city, castle included).
• Karlín – Prague's hipster central, home to Dva Kohouti (craft beer, food trucks, loud music, good vibes) and upscale-but-affordable restaurants.
• Old Town (Staré Mesto) – the vibrant, beating heart of Prague, surrounded by stunning Gothic and Baroque architecture that has to be seen to be believed. The Astronomical Clock on the Old Town Hall wall has been ticking since 1410, making it the oldest still-operating clock of its kind in the world, and Charles Bridge connects you across the river, lined with statues and some of the best views in the city.
Whether you want to explore cobblestone streets, sip natural wine, or party till sunrise, it's all within reach.

We’ve been a part of Prague’s nightlife since 2009, running legendary pub crawls, epic boat parties, and city-shaking events 365 days a year. Our bar in the heart of Prague 1 (just steps from the river and Old Town Square) kicks things off each night with a 2-hour open bar before launching into our curated crawl to the best clubs in the city — with exclusive access and local promoter hookups. And when the sun’s out? Join our sunset booze cruise, the only hostel in town with an hour open bar at our courtyard, and afterparty club entrance included. Think Halloween blowouts, St. Paddy’s madness, and every “drinking holiday” in between — we do it all, and we do it right.

Summary of traveller reviews

Drunken Monkey Hostel in Prague is praised for its incredibly friendly and helpful staff, vibrant social atmosphere, and fun organised events like the pub crawl. While some mention the location is a bit of a walk from the main attractions, it's conveniently close to the bus station. Some recent reviews note uncomfortable beds and occasional cleanliness issues in bathrooms.

It was a lovely hostel, staff were friendly, however facilities were not the best. One of our lockers were broken and despite raising the issue to staff members it was not fixed during our stay. The kitchens were also tiny and not clean as well as the bar in the courtyard closing at 9pm even on a Friday and the actual courtyard closing at 11pm. For it being advertised as a party hostel it definitely was not- with the pub crawls being the only party aspect but costing around £20 extra.

You get what you pay for. Very cheap room but too many people per shower/toilet (16:1). Had to make 2 bookings as extended our stay, was told by reception we would be in the same room throughout, returned at 11pm tired to find that housekeeping had not been told and had moved all our stuff out for us to be put in a new room. Reception was very helpful but would've preferred proper communication between staff to avoid this. Reading other reviews it seems this is not a one off.

Arrived to a dirty, used bed. Was traveling with 2 others I complained and they said I had to change room as there was no space they claimed cleaners had gone home and couldn’t get to clean sheets (Surely they knew the code to get in, I even offered to do it myself) so instead had to drag the bedding from the bed they moved me to (in secret) and make the bed up in the room with my friends. Lift was broken for 3/4 of the stay. Although the bar crawl was super fun! Reps fun and looked after us!
